City of Coatesville an South Coatesville split
I am a Pastor in the Borough of South Coatesville Pa. I have been the pastor in South Coatesville for the last 7 years. My understanding is that a split between the City of Coatesville and the Borough of South Coatesville has been proposed in a redistricting map. I want to voice my concerns for the split. I am oppose to such a split. I was born and raised in the Borough of South Coatesville and presently the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Bernardtown in South Coatesville. Most of my congregation made up is of the city of Coatesville and the Borough of South Coatesville. The church I represent has been in existence in South Coatesville or 118 years. The proposed split will create racial inequality between the City and the Borough in respect to redistricting. I also feel the proposed split has been propose by individuals who do not know how connected the City and he Borough are from a socioeconomic standpoint. I would like to go on record as opposing the proposed split and would also request a racial equality hearing be held. The City of Coatesville and the Borough of South have been intrinsically connected and socioeconomic dependent on one another.
