State College is a community
State College is a community should never be split among 4 House representatives. The region that includes the State College Area School District and Bellefonte Area School District has a population of 123,451 and continues to grow. These adjacent communities reflect ethnic and racial diversity that is an asset to Central PA. Our social and political interests reflect that diversity and justify two House districts that would reflect our local preferences. Currently, due to former gerrymandering efforts, we are split among 4 districts that run 50-80 miles into rural, sparsely populated areas. We need local representatives that reflect our denser, diverse, urban and suburban community.
