194th district proposed plan

The proposed plan for the 194th PA House district makes little sense in terms of contiguity of neighborhoods. It includes a sizable portion of Chestnut Hill, effectively cutting that community in half and separating out half of Chestnut Hill from the Upper Northwest. The needs of the Chestnut Hill community differ significantly from those of the Lower Northwest. It makes more sense to expand the 194th district to include all of the Lower Northwest, that is, Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon and East Falls, leaving all of Chestnut Hill as part of the Upper Northwest House District. Expansion of the district into contiguous North Philadelphia also makes more sense in terms of community issues such as development.
