Please ensure no rural school district is split
Chair Nordenberg and members of the LRC, Please ensure that partisan gerrymandering is minimized if not eliminated, especially in Centre County, in this current cycle. The State College Area School District and Centre Region have been impacted by split representation in Congress, minimizing the majority of voices of a single community by cracking, diluting the local majority among two different U.S. Representatives. I am appalled that current state representatives and senators hailing from my own county want to double down on that dilution at the state level as well by cracking the school district, actively countering the will of the people they call neighbors and constituents. Chair Nordenberg, as a former university president, you understand well the needs and priorities of public university communities and impacts those universities have in their communities. Please ensure that any partisan attempt to further gerrymander the State College Area School District is stopped. Please place a top priority on *not* splitting/diluting the fair and legitimate voices of voters in my community. Thank you, J. Shockey, dedicated voter
