Proposed Changes to HD 194 & 200

I'm concerned that the proposed changes to the 200th Pa. House Legislative District would make it less compact, joining neighborhoods together in the proposed 194th that do not have a natural cohesiveness - kind of like combining nuts and chewing gum. The proposed 194th district crosses a natural boundary created by the Wissahickon Park & Valley. It is a stretch to say that Roxborough and Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill are physically adjacent to one another. While the borders may meet somewhere in the woods, the neighborhoods have unique perspectives, interests and identities. Residents use different transportation hubs/routes, frequent different economic corridors, school networks, etc. As such, I think the constituents of the 200th would be better served by either maintaining the current boundaries, or if necessary, by adopting "The People's Map."
