Racially just maps
Hello. As a a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, I was pleased to see the proposed House Districts all fit within the County boundaries, with the exception of the 131st district, which includes East Greenville and other small towns in Bucks County. The creation of the 54th district, mostly Norristown and Conshohocken, empowers the minority communities there. And Pottstown, which is a small city gerrymandered into three districts in the current map, will not be split in the LRC proposed map. This will be much better for Pottstown’s representation in the legislature. Thanks to the LRC for their efforts to end political gerrymandering and to create fairer representation for our states citizens.
