Astonishing Gerrymander in Delco

This map is an absolutely astonishing gerrymander. I am beyond shocked that Democrats have the audacity to open their mouths about gerrymandering, and then have the partisan Supreme Court appoint a "neutral" / "independent" Chair to this committee to come up with this joke of a map. If I were asked to gerrymander Delaware County to be as beneficial as possible to Democrats, it would look identical to what you've done here. Republicans have a strong presence in Aston, Middletown, Ridley and Marple - so what do you do? You break Marple in half, putting half of it in Upper Providence/Media/Swarthmore and the other half in Haverford. You put Middletown in the same district as RADNOR (I mean WHAT? Radnor!?). Then you break Chester into multiple parts so you can counterfeit Aston and parts of Ridley, and then you put the rest of Ridley in with Darby. So let me get this straight: 4 Republican areas, you break 2 of them in half to sit in massive Democrat areas (Media/Swarthmore), and then you put Middletown with Radnor, 2 areas that have so little in common it's like putting Middletown with South Philly. I'm just kinda grossed out that Democrats constantly preach about fair maps and gerrymandering and then have the gall to post this map. This is an absolute disgrace. The "independent" chair should legitimately be ashamed for pretending to not be a partisan. This is the most blatant gerrymander I've seen. A county that is 60/40 D somehow gets 9 D districts and 1 toss-up? Seriously guys? And you feel like that's right? Not to mention that the state as a whole in this map is now about 53/47 D in terms of safe districts in a state that's been decided by less than 2 points for the last 2 Presidential elections. This is a total farce, you can't actually think this is fair, and as a citizen of the Commonwealth I demand you fix it. Do your job and get real. ASAP.
