Quaker Valley - Moon Community

Moon and Quaker Valley Connection: Valley Ambulance Authority located in Moon Township was organized as the second municipal ambulance authority in the United States, providing EMS and medical transportation services to Aleppo Township, Bell Acres Borough, Edgeworth Borough, Glenfield Borough, Leet Township, Leetsdale Borough, Haysville Borough, Glen Osborne Borough, Sewickley Borough, Sewickley Heights and Sewickley Hills Moon Township, Coraopolis Borough, Crescent Township and Neville Island. VAA also provides service to certain parts of the Pittsburgh International Airport. Quaker Valley and Moon Township are the heart of the service area and while Valley provides transports to all Pittsburgh hospitals, its main service area is "THE VALLEY" which includes both Moon and and Quaker Valley and which is serviced by Sewickley Hospital located in Sewickley/Quaker Valley. Quaker Valley: Quaker Valley School district is small. Leet and Leetsdale should be kept together with all 11 boroughs and municipalities in QV and into one House District since each of the boroughs and municipalities are so small and having a single house seat represent the community as a whole will bring it together. And Quaker Valley is a small school district (K-12 <1,800 enrolment) and the new maps split it up. The following should be kept together into one House District. Aleppo Township, Bell Acres Borough, Edgeworth Borough, Glenfield Borough, Glen Osborne Borough, Haysville Borough, Leet Township, Leetsdale Borough, Sewickley Borough, Sewickley Heights Borough, Sewickley Hills Borough. Splitting up a very small school district when the area is already split with so many small boroughs is unfair to residents.
