Three Hearings Scheduled for August 3rd and 4th

The Legislative Reapportionment Commission has scheduled three public hearings for this week, occurring on Tuesday, August 3rd and Wednesday, August 4th.

  • Tuesday, August 3rd from 2:00pm - 4:00pm This hearing (Agenda) will feature presentations from representatives of Fair Districts of PA and Common Cause of PA. The hearing will also feature Amanda Holt, mapping expert and the named plaintiff in Holt vs. 2011 Legislative Reapportionment Commission, and Lee Hachadoorian, from Temple University's Department of Geography & Urban Studies.
  • Tuesday, August 3rd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm This hearing (Agenda) will gather feedback from Pennsylvania citizens regarding legislative reapportionment. For more details, visit https://www.redistricting.state.pa.us/commission/article/1064.
  • Wednesday, August 4th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm This hearing (Agenda) will feature presentations from Penn State University's Political Science Department regarding the federal Voting Rights Act, and from Villanova University's Sociology and Criminology Department's to discuss the impact of incarceration on political representation.
