Legislative Change to 117th District
My name is Richard Wilbur and I'm the Chairman of the Wyoming County Commissioners. Prior to becoming a commissioner 2 years ago, I was a supervisor in Exeter Township, Wyoming County. For virtually that whole time, I have been served by Representative Karen Boback and she has done a wonderful job representing our residents. She has gone way over what is expected and will be terribly missed by the residents of Wyoming County. This redistricting erases almost 20 years of history and dedication that is so important to the many projects that have been accomplished in the past and are in the process currently. With so much going on in our county that she is involved in, how can we possibly change her district and abandon everything we're working on in Wyoming County. I beg you as the chairman of commissioners to reconsider this change and keep Karen Boback working for us. I know Tina Pickett who will be taking over Wyoming County and respect her as a legislator. My only problem is that by making this change, she will be coming in midstream on so many things that Karen is working on that many of our projects and concerns may fall by the wayside. Before adjusting the district maps, please consider the implications that cutting long time relationships will mean even if other worthy legislators take over.
