Stop Gerrymandering!

The partisan commission of PA claims that these new maps are fair and not gerrymandered, but it's a lie. This is especially true in the Lehigh Valley. To protect the incumbency of Senator Pat Browne, they split Allentown, split Bethlehem, and split school districts. Immediately, Senator Lisa Boscola of Northampton Co explained that, under the PA Constitution, municipalities shouldn't be split unless "absolutely necessary." Given that neither Allentown nor Bethlehem exceed the 260,000 population average of Senatorial districts, these splits were absolutely unnecessary. Soon, I will be able to vote. I don't want my vote to be thrown away into a Republican, Berks-centric district that appeases a man who doesn't have the will to stand up against anti-democratic members of his own caucus. I want to be represented by someone who can represent my community, who can fight for my struggles, who can guarantee solutions for my school, and who can be a voice for people like me. This map blocks that possibility. Lisa Boscola is right - this map is undemocratic, unfair, and unconstitutional.
