74th District in Chester County
The Voting Rights Act requires giving communities of color, when possible, the opportunity to elect the candidates of their choice. Unfortunately, the only minority district we had in Chester County has been split up and replaced with a majority white district. Taking East Caln, Downingtown, Caln and East Fallowfield from the 74th and replacing them with Honey Brook Twp, Honey Brook borough, West Brandywine, West Caln, Atglen, and West Sadsburyville does a real disservice to the people of Coatesville city. These new townships are primarily very rural and have little in common with the city of Coatesville. Please reconsider and allow the 74th to continue to be a minority district by bringing back some of the townships that have been replaced - especially Caln township.
