Redistricting as to Mifflin and Juniata Counties

As a lifelong citizen of Juniata County, I feel that I need to express my concern pertaining to the fact this latest redistricting map splits Mifflin and Juniata Counties from each other and creates an even larger divide by placing parts of these counties into yet other districts. Mifflin and Juniata Counties are two very rural counties with limited resources and thus have now and historically developed combined resources to serve the residents. Our counties work together to serve the citizens and to take away joint representation and even further divide these rural areas by taking small parts of each county away from the main body county and including them with Snyder County, makes little if no sense. Some of the many resources managed jointly by both counties include but are not limited to Area Agency on Aging, CARS, Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center, Multiple Human Services departments, Housing resources, Food resources, SEDA COG, Energy Assistance, Employment and Education resources, Drug and Alcohol resources, and both counties participate in the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit. The list could go on, but providing joint representation to these two counties who have worked and struggled together for years is just the right thing to do. I ask that you do the right thing. Thank You for Your Consideration.
