Include East Petersburg Borough in PA-41
I am a citizen living in East Petersburg Borough and wish to request placement of the three precincts in East Petersburg Borough (East Petersburg West, East Petersburg North, and East Petersburg South) within State House district 41 in the 2021 reapportionment. The activities of the Borough of East Petersburg and its citizens are thoroughly intertwined with those of East Hempfield; our students attend the Hempfield schools, and a Hempfield district elementary school exists in our town; our fire and emergency organizations share close ties with the adjoining East Hempfield Township; our sports, youth and swimming activities participate with Hempfield residents and the Hempfield Area Recreation Commission; and East Petersburg is part of the 41st district’s “natural constituency” and shares its issues, opportunities and people. Therefore the three voting precincts of the borough (precincts 1500, 1501 & 1502) should be returned to and included in Pennsylvania legislative district 41.
