Creating Maps that Respect Democracy

I believe in democracy and the primacy of ideas. I also believe that legislative districts should be created to benefit the citizens of the state rather than there being any consideration shown to providing advantage to officeholders. I ask that the state take an approach we have a right to expect rather than one more appropriate to a dictatorship putting on a façade. I live in the Lehigh Valley and among several issues I find the most significant to be that the proposed map cuts the Allentown school district. This seems contrary to a sensible approach and I ask that it be reconsidered. The determining factor should be how the district map best accommodates citizens, not how it best benefits an officeholder.
