Exception to Preliminary Map for Adams County

As a lifelong resident of Straban Township and the current Adams County Treasurer, I respectfully request an exception to the Legislative Reapportionment Commission’s preliminary PA House Map to move Straban Township (part of House District 193 in your plan) back to House District 91 with the rest of the Gettysburg community. Living in Straban Township, I raised my family as part of the Gettysburg community and the Gettysburg School District. I spent years helping to operate my family business in Gettysburg and do much of my shopping, eating, and recreation downtown. Straban Township is very connected to the rest of the greater Gettysburg area and is proud to be part of this community. We have shared the same Legislative District as the rest of Gettysburg for as long as I can remember and separating Straban Township out of the 91st House District would be a disservice to the constituents who live there. While I have a deep love and respect for all of Adams County which I am happy to call home, Straban Township better associates itself as a community of interest with the proposed 91st House District, not the 193rd House District, and is the reason for my exception request. Thank you for the opportunity to express my views.
