Senate Maps Lehigh Valley

Dear Legislative Redistricting Commission: As a lifelong Pa citizen and resident of Coopersburg it is my expectation that our elections are free and fair. The proposed Pa Senate Maps will take away our ability to have a fair election. In 2018, we learned that the Pa maps were unconstitutionally gerrymandered in favor of one party. These maps were corrected immediately so that our elections would be fair. It is appalling transparent that the Pa Senate map for district 16 is gerrymandered to give the Republican party an unjust lead. The map for my Pa house district 131 barely changed. Why? Because a republican controls this seat. The proposed Pa Senate map for my new district, district 16, lumps part of the Lehigh county with Berks county. I ask you to exame how this is fair. How do the issues of a person from Berks compare with the issues of Coopersburg? Berks county is not a part of the Lehigh Valley. It is obvious that parts of Berks are lumped into district 16 to add more white republican voters. The Kutztown area was not included probably because it is a college town that would lean democratic. This alone shows that these maps were created to give one part an advantage over another. In 2018, the Pa Supreme court declared where I live to be Pa Senate district 7. District 7 included all of Lehigh Valley. This allowed for a fair election. I demand that a better map be drawn so that our elections are still fair!
