Oakmont should not be included with Penn Hills

To PROTECT my town of residency, Oakmont should be grouped into a legislative district that: 1) includes other smaller river boroughs like Oakmont, 2) includes other boroughs which are facing similar challenges and opportunities of Oakmont, 3) includes other boroughs with whom Oakmont has strong economic and cultural ties. Oakmont deserves to be an important community in the eyes of our elected state representative and should garner a significant amount of their personal attention. By moving Oakmont into the 32nd district, we run the great risk of being very much overlooked and overshadowed by the needs and challenges of Penn Hills (which is the second largest municipality in Allegheny County after the City of Pittsburgh). The current proposal creates a serious imbalance of scale within the district, and regardless of political affiliation would NOT benefit Oakmont.
