Bucks County Senate districts

Bucks County has three distinct geographical areas that represent distinct differences in economic, social, land use and environmental factors. They are Upper Bucks, Middle Bucks, and Lower Bucks. These zones are recognized in most county planning processes. I strongly recommend that PA State Senate districts be aligned with the geographical boundaries of these zones to maximize the political representation of their residents, who share common interests and concerns. The preliminary LRC map, however, splits both Lower Bucks and Central Bucks. It appears to 'pack' Democrats into the 10th district and seems to be devised to protect incumbents. I strongly request that the Commission revise the map to avoid dividing these communities of interest.
