The Good, Bad and the Ugly

First - the good. Kudos to the House map, which is far closer to the metrics and criteria for fair maps than the previously drawn version. This map is more compact, more contiguous and splits fewer districts and municipalities. Thank you for putting the consideration into this map that Pennsylvanians deserve. Second - the bad. The Senate map clearly favors incumbents and does little to ensure that the highly populated southeast portion of the state is fairly represented. This is essentially diluting votes for millions of people to favor the few. PA Senate - go back to the drawing board and come up with districts that have less standard deviations. The House did, so can you! Third - the ugly. Will PA truly get fair maps this time? Or will it continue to be a regressive, backwards state and an embarrassment for another ten years?
