STOP THE REDISTRICTING OF HORSHAM! KEEP IT WHOLE!

I am strongly against the separation of Horsham Twp. into 2 districts based on the recent 2020 Census and Legislative Reapportionment Commission. Townships need to stay together as a whole in order to act in solidarity. A separation of Horsham into 2 districts, will unfairly divide the township, pitting neighbors against neighbors on efforts where alignment is critical. It will diminish our voice and credibility as a township. In the recent PFAS debacle that we experienced during the beginning development and remediation stages of Willow Grove Air Base, the unity of Horsham Township as a solid whole district, was critical and carried much needed weight and power to gain aid and awareness, not only in our township, but highlighting the problem for adjacent townships like Warminster, Warrington etc. who were not aware that this was an issue for them. Diminishing the strength of our community with redistricting will have a negative impact on Horsham Township overall. Historically, Horsham Township is a thriving township that has proven to be in a positive upward growth period. In the years to come, with the remediation of Willow Grove Naval Base, these decisions will forever change Horsham Township and it is critical that we ALL stick together to be a united front to endorse only positive change and improvement to Horsham Township. Furthermore, not having access to the proposed redistricting boundaries, makes it very hard to support any redistricting plans. This feels divisive and will remove the diversity that Horsham has both racially, and economically. The demographics in Horsham truly span the lowest of incomes up to millionaire status, and that diversity is reflected in our infrastructural improvements, our School District and our taxes. If the redistricting is done in a calculated and deviant way, the district could wind up caught between economic tiers and ethnic biases that will reverse all of the growth Horsham has experienced, especially in the last 30 years. I will reiterate that I am against this separation of Horsham Township and want the township to stay a single district. Thank you for your time.
