Hellertown redistricting
It does not make sense for Hellertown to be part of the 131st district. This community does not historically have much interaction with the other communities within this proposal- Hellertown is the only community that would be from Northampton county in this proposal. Our school district is joint with Lower Saucon- District 136- and we share the same challenges with them and the rest of this proposed district- I-78 development, library services, shopping, rail trail, joint community events and projects. All this will do is dilute any representation for the Hellertown community. We may not be a large community, but that is the point- we would lose our voice as our challenges are not the same as the communities to the Southwest of us. It would be more logical to continue as we have for the past 50 yrs- to be paired with Freemansburg, Lower Saucon, Williams townships, Easton in the 136th District
