Keep new 151st district boundries
I am writing to say that I approve of the proposed changes to House District 151. This new map is the fairest we’ve seen in 30 years. Thank you all for taking this important step to create districts that are more compact, contiguous and fair to the residents within them. In terms of compactness, it keeps more of Upper Dublin township together (which previously has been fractured into 3 districts) and now includes Ambler Borough, which is deeply intertwined with the Upper Dublin community. The current map was drawn deliberately to provide Republican Todd Stephens a boost in the election process. The communities of Upper Dublin and Lower Gwynedd were split as part of the gerrymander. The proposed new district is a more logical reflection of the way communities’ function and will provide all with a true voice in the election process that reflects community and political values (all of which are more liberal than those of the current representative Todd Stephens who is much more conservative than those that live in the district).
