Don't "Crack" the Centre Region

The proposed map of Senate districts is not as different from the current map as one would hope. The 43rd district (by Pittsburgh) is almost identical in both maps, and the 2nd district (Philadelphia) still consists of two parts connected only by a tiny isthmus. I will, however, focus on my own county, Centre, where State College Area School District is split (or should I say “cracked”, to use the gerrymandering term?) needlessly in two. The Centre region is divided between two districts which sprawl far to the north and west. According to the proposed map we would be ignored by two Senators rather than one. A simple solution to this problem has been proposed by Debra Trudeau of State College: see https://davesredistricting.org/maps#viewmap::47fe0a34-0f25-4090-8c4e-9d51b430c7ce.
