Communities of interest in NW Philadelphia
Thanks for your efforts developing preliminary maps for redistricting in PA, and for inviting public comments. I've lived in the Mt Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia for more than 40 years, and the cohesive character of this community is a large part of what keeps me in living here. For that reason I strongly support the People's Map proposed by Fair Districts PA for its proposed boundaries of the current 200th legislative district. The People's Map keeps together communities of interest, Mt Airy and Chestnut Hill,, rather than dividing these historically connected neighborhoods and linking parts of them to neighborhoods on the other side of the Wissahickon Gorge that are not demographically similar or easily accessible, with distinct interests and concerns. I urge you to consider tweaking the boundaries of these districts in northwest Philadelphia to link communities that have so much in common. Thank you for your consideration ,
