End gerrymandering

The proposed state senate map maintains the gerrymandering goal of keeping incumbents in office rather than a goal of having government responsive to constituents. The population in SE PA has grown. The preliminary Senate map doesn’t reflect the loss of population in more rural areas and the gains in urban and suburban areas. Our part of Pennsylvania will not have as much representation as our population merits diluting our vote. Senate districts must be adjusted to better reflect the significant population shifts happening in Pennsylvania. The preliminary Senate map, splits the North Philadelphia Hispanic community into four districts: 1, 2, 3, and 5. I believe a Hispanic-majority district can and must be established here.
