Fair Funding in an Unfair System
"Equal representation in government is necessary to provide equal opportunity. The proposed House, Senate, and Congressional maps should not dilute the voice and opportunity of those living within Bristol Township School District. Bristol Township SD is one of the most densely populated districts in Pennsylvania (45th out of 500) and provides some of the highest economic output in the State, as measured by gross domestic product. Working within these statistics, Bristol Township School District is one of the most underfunded Districts in the Delaware Valley region. Measures of personal income per student and market value of real estate per student put it in the bottom 20% in terms of wealth with over 63% of District students coming from low income families. Past decisions of the State have left our District with little business and heavy reliance on households and individual taxpayers for funding. These issues can only be resolved with better and FULL and FAIR representation in our State’s (the people’s) government!"
