Senate district 31
First Thank you for what you are doing and being transparent and for getting public input. this is the way to make things work. Second I live in Newberry township and am delighted that the Senate map puts me in a York County senate district (31) instead of Lebanon counties 48th. I had nothing in common with this district. With the new district I wanted to suggest a minor change that makes some sense to me. I think mechanicsburg should not be in the 31st perhaps expanding the lemoyne area into Camp Hill makes more sense. Why..well that's the area most of us shop in and have more in common with in Northern York County. I know that's where I shop at. I also believe that the state map as proposed splits too many municipalities in other areas of the state. I realize it is not worse than the current map we have but I am not sure it is significantly fairer than what we currently have. Again i do appreciate that this is still a significant amount of work and that I do thank you for doing this and allowing me to comment. thanks for your consideration.
