Don't fix what isn't broke
Hello, I am sending this to let you know that I am a resident of McAlisterville Juniata county. I understand that you are proposing dividing our County and putting part of our county along with Huntington County and part with Union County. Neither of these counties have much in common with our county and they are both a considerable commute for us. Please leave our county with Mifflin County , we already have community connections and committees in common. Dividing Juniata's 82nd District (as proposed) would mean • driving farther to access state services • diminishing local advocacy for discretionary grants • diluting rural voices • and splitting communities that already share many services. This will impact our representation for decades to come. I think Mifflin and Juniata counties belong together, I strongly encourage you to make the choice that reflects you care about those of us in rural areas. Forget the politics.
