Don't Break up CHESTNUT HILL and Mt. Airy

Instead of breaking up Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy, please consider the People’s Map that was created by Fair Districts PA. (https://www//fairdistrictspa.com/peoples-maps). This map would keep Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy, two communities of interest, aligned in a way that makes sense. The current proposal to align Chestnut Hill with Roxborough makes NO sense. Mt. Airy is Chestnut Hill's and contiguous neighbor, and we share many common interests. Roxborough is on the other side of the Wissahickon and linked to Chestnut Hill by only two roads, Bells Mills and Walnut Lane. Chestnut Hill shares two train lines with Mt. Airy, but public transportation to Roxborough from CH takes 36 minutes on a good day, involving two buses and significant foot power. CH and Mt. Airy share community services like churches, playgrounds, and gathering spaces; and public resources like the Local newspaper, police and fire, Chestnut Hill Hospital. Also, should this proposal proceed, the demographics of our long-standing racially integrated district will change dramatically from 64% Black to 14% and 26% White to 76%. Please use the alternative proposal of Fair Districts PA to keep Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy--two vital communities with strong historical and current ties--together. Thank you.
