The proposed State House Redistricting plan neither reflects the population change nor the bipartisanship of our county. With a minor population change, the plan drastically reduces the number of competitive districts from 7 out of 10 to 2 out of 10. Bucks County Democrats and Republicans are balanced fairly equally. That balance not only supports a more equitable reflection of the effectiveness and competitiveness of our area, but also contributes to innovation, excellence, and accountability. As we continue to see the effects of political division on local, state, and federal levels, I implore you to consider Bucks Proposal 1B as an equitable balance of voting integrity needed.
