Oppose the Preliminary LRC for Lehigh County
As a resident of Lehigh County, I object to the Preliminary LRC map. It is obvious it was designed by the Democrat incumbents to PACK their districts with non Hispanic Democrats. State Rep. Schweyer won his seat by ONLY 55 votes in 2020 against a Hispanic woman. Now he is guarantee to win in the new district he created. They also packed the Hispanics into one new district that still does not guarantee them a chance at winning. The Democrat plan also eliminated a Republican House seat by splitting up several school districts in order to pack their Districts with loyal affluent progressive Democrats. Splitting school districts and municipalities is a direct violation to the State Constitution. They combined an extensive rural area with a highly concentrated suburban area with little to no comparison. I demand this Board reevaluates it’s decision and looks at either the Holt plan or the PA Fair Districts plan. Either meets Constitutional and Fairness requirements. Below are just a few of the abuses caused by the Preliminary LRC map… Salisbury is divided into three districts. Parkland School district is divided into four House districts. East Penn School district is divided into three House districts. Salisbury School District is divided into three House districts. Thank you for you honest consideration.
