PA People's House Map - Districts 75 & 76

I have lived and voted in the eastern end of Cumberland County for 30 years. ALL of our state legislators and senators are Republican, despite the fact that slightly less than half of all registered voters are Republican as recorded on the county election site. This is not only unfair, it is unproductive. New redistricting maps will hopefully change this. With respect to my area, I believe the FDPA People's House Map does the best job of making its proposed districts 75 and 76, though slightly Republican leaning, far more competitive than the current situation. I believe the voters in my area are predominantly moderate, neither far right nor far left. What most of us want is a legislature that can work to get important things done through negotiation and compromise. Having a competitive district would give us a fair chance to be represented by someone who is neither far right or left, and hopefully willing and able to work with other legislators on a bipartisan basis. My second choice would be the LRC map, which puts East Pennsboro and Camp Hill in a new 103rd district with mid- and uptown Harrisburg. While the West Shore has a history of being a predominantly white, conservative area, one has only to look at how the Camp Hill area has changed over the past decade to see that it has become more diverse in terms of voting, age and race. But I still think the FDPA map is much better! Thank you for your work. I have hope that Pennsylvania will finally move from its unfortunate status as a highly gerrymandered state to one which represents we, the people.
