Keep the 82nd intact

I am a homeowner in Fayette Township and a business owner in Port Royal Borough. My current district office is midway between. If redistricted, I would have to travel two different directions whether for personal or business related issues. The 82nd, which is mainly comprised of Mifflin and Juniata counties, makes sense, because our human services, prison system, visitor's bureau, chamber of commerce, hospital & medical care system, CARS for seniors, the vocational school, and so much more are done jointly in these two rural counties. Many jobs and recreational opportunities and shopping opportunities are shared as well. Splitting Juniata County between two reps' districts would also split our school district. We have a state rep currently who has a vested interest in the community and is an engaged and active member of this community. He grew up in this rural area, as have the reps that preceded him, and understands the needs of the citizens, businesses, etc. Two old sayings come to mind: Let well enough alone. Don't fix something that isn't broken.
