82 nd district Comments
I personally am very disappointed in losing local representation for Juniata and Mifflin Counties. I have worked with the current Representative and all of his predecessors on numerous projects for the local fire company and Wildland Fire crew. The office has helped to obtain grants for these organizations as they are close to the middle of the current district and provide local or statewide coverage. If the district is gone I will have to travel 1 hour to get to the office of which my family numerous services provided by the representatives office that do not exist in our area. The current district including both Juniata and Mifflin counties is very good because many services are shared between the 2 counties including the Jail, Area Agency on Aging and others. If any of these services need help from the representatives office they will need to go to 2 different offices to get the answers.
