Redistricting 151

The 151st legislative district consists of a strong and vibrant community of residents with their roots linked to India. They live, work, own businesses, shop and worship and raise their family in Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield townships. Many from the Indian origin community of Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield townships participates in religious and cultural events and Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali and Navaratri at Bharatiya Hindu and Jain Temple in Montgomeryville and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Hatfield Township. Indian grocery stores such as Balaji Super Market and Patel Food Market in Montgomeryville and other similar stores offer daily Indian groceries to residents of Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield townships. Some of the very fine restaurants offering traditional Indian cuisine call Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield townships their home considering the increasing population of Indian origin residents in Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield Townships. Many Indian origin residents also own American food and grocery stores like 7-11 stores and Dunkin Donuts among others that serve the larger multi-cultural community of Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield Townships. My family is of the opinion that we along with other Indian origin residents of Horsham, Montgomery and Hatfield townships need to one voice in Harrisburg, failing which we risk diminishing and diluting our unified voice in the state government
