Keep up the good process

I want to commend the Commission for its fairness and transparency during this redistricting cycle, which is a refreshing change from the closed-door, partisan process that has plagued PA redistricting in the past. The maps we've had over the past 10 years have been anything but fair. They do not accurately represent the interests of the people, and the inability of our state legislature to get much done reflects that. To have good government that is responsive to the needs of the people, we must start with maps that reflect the communities that actually make up this great state. Communities should be drawn together by shared values and mutual interests, not by their ability to serve the interests of elected officials who just want to hold onto power. I commend the Commission for upholding these values thus far, and I'm dismayed that partisans are spreading misinformation about the process and threatening to overturn it. Please do not listen to these voices. Please keep the people at the forefront of this process, so we can have a state government that works for us, not the other way around.
