FDPA House Map Represents Centre County Best

As a resident of Pennsylvania Furnace outside of State College, I have to say that the proposed LRC House map is a considerable improvement over the current PA House map. It reduces the number of districts the larger State College/Bellefonte region is divided into from four (76th, 77th, 81st, 171st) to three (77th, 82nd, 171st). It also provides for more uniform state representation in nearly every school district by reducing the number of House districts each school district is split into. In my opinion, however, The FDPA People’s House Map is the best map for Centre County. It encompasses most of the larger State College region within just two districts (59th, 60th). And like the proposed LRC map it also produces an overall reduction in the splitting of school districts. But what makes this map stand out is how well it keeps communities/communities of interest together compactly. It simply organizes the region best in terms of how our communities would be best represented in Harrisburg. The LRC map may be an improvement but the FDPA map is far better.
