Serious concerns about fair representation
I am a long time resident of Upper Gwynedd in Montgomery County and have been a Member of Congregation Beth Or for over thirty years. My main concern about the redistricting process is that I recognize that my own community has changed over the last ten years. Our area has had an influx of new home owners who are demographically different than the area was when we first moved here. Since the demographics are changing, it seems obvious that a redistricting effort - to be fair - has to change with it. While I have seen some progress by the LRC, the notion that the old maps or maps similar to them are more representative of our neighborhoods now simply cannot be true. I applaud your work and hope that you can continue to revise the maps so that they are representative of the current reality of our our community.
