Borough Council Member/Asst. Fire Chief/Resident

Chairman Mark Nordenberg, As a resident and a member of the Borough of McDonald Council, I am writing to request an exception to the preliminary map for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The preliminary map divides the Borough of McDonald between two house districts (44 and 46). While the borough is split between Allegheny and Washington County, the municipal government is located in Washington County. 1,664 of the roughly 2,000 residents making up McDonald live in Washington County. I am requesting that the Borough of McDonald be kept whole. The preliminary map disenfranchises just under 400 of our residents in another district, leaving them without representation in the House of Representatives and removes them from communities who share similarities and interests. Those communities include Midway, Robinson Township, and Mt. Pleasant Township all of whom share the Fort Cherry School District. Regards, Philip Boggs
