Objection to Proposed Redistricting
Dear Commissioners. Scranton is the only Class 2A City in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Scranton has also been represented by two house districts for the last 20 years. Scranton deserves true, dedicated representation and the maps as proposed make it an afterthought at best. Worse, it combines an urban City with rural townships that are not only in different school districts but combines completely unrelated communities. This appears partisan on the face of it whereby dedicated representation was sacrificed for the sake of partisan performance to favor one political party.
