The redistricting of the AlleKiski Valley, Distric

I am a Councilman in Tarentum, which in the 33rd District. I was appointed to council in January, 2021, and reelected this past November. This my second time being on the Tarentum council. Since this last appointment to council, I have seen a new energy in District 33 that I didn't see before. Not only in our borough, but throughout the district. In the New Kensington, Arnold, in Brackenridge, and Harrison Twp. more people are getting involved in, not only their community, but also neighboring communities. I feel that the election of Rep. Carrie Lewis Del Rosso, is one of the main factors helping our municipalities forward. Rep. Del Rosso makes herself available in helping any way that she can. Whether answering our questions, holding informational/educational meetings, or making the time to meet with borough officials. This is something, in my opinion, that is helping to energize our district. Under the new redistricting plan, Tarentum will be in a district with Etna, Fox Chapel, Blawnox, Sharpsburg, and Aspinwall. Being a resident of Tarentum since 1977, I feel that Tarentum has more in common with the municipalities in the current District 33, than we will have in the new redistricting plan. I feel that not only Tarentum, but also Brackenridge, Harrison Twp., Fawn Twp., East Deer Twp. New Kensington, and Arnold will be left behind when it comes to any funding as of grants, etc. It would be a shame for all of the work and energy that both these communities as well as Rep. Del Rosso has put into their revitalization be interrupted or slowed down to any extent. Rep. Del Rosso is an example for us to follow, with her work ethic and her energy. I am asking you to reconsider your redistricting plan and leave District 33 as is. Thank you, God Bless, & May God Bless America! Raymond E Kerr
