Reconsider unfair redistricting maps
My understanding of the new redistricting map is that it will shut down legislative competition from 7 to 2 of 10. Of course, each party would like the absolute edge over their opponent, but our country, and our county - Bucks County - which enjoys a diversity of thought and political views, should not attempt to try to have a one party monopoly, but rather a competition of thought and debate over ideas. This will bring forward the best governing ideas for all of us. [Please consider this example of redistricting equity - attached] I taught children in Bucks County schools - we taught students to listen and learn from all voices. I am devastated to think that the gerrymandering techniques of self-serving politicians might shut down important voices and debate, only to produce a one-sided government that destroys itself by despising the opposition. President Biden said his goal was to unite the country. Here is Bucks County's chance to aid in that worthy goal. Create redistricting maps that are fair and unbiased for all involved.
