Impact to Bucks County
The proposed changes to the map will impact Bucks County in a negative manner. Political competitiveness will be removed from a few districts giving the edge to Democrats in one district and Republicans in the other district. That does not bode well for the citizens of the county. I have seen deep purple district representatives become more willing to hear from both sides of the aisle when their seats were not guaranteed due to voting maps. The proposed changes, if kept, will remove that willingness to hear differing opinions. That is not progress. The maps should not stand as proposed.
