Redistricting concerns

As a citizen actively involved in working in, paying taxes in, serving and volunteering in Cumberland County, I have serious concerns about the proposed redistricting map. As you know, Cumberland County is the fastest growing county in the commonwealth of PA. I know that other once highly populated PA counties are decreasing in population as the 2020 as clearly demonstrated in the results of the 2020 census. Realtors in Cumberland County have expressed the need for more housing to keep up with the rapidly increasing population in the county. As described on this and other PA government websites, redistricting maps are intended to adequately and fairly reflect population changes so communities are honestly, transparently and fairly represented in the PA House and Senate. Based on these facts, Cumberland County should only be gaining representation. In no way can anyone defend the opposite result. The commission can not legally argue why counties with decreasing population have been granted more representation while counties with increasing population have been denied fair and adequate representation. Thank you for your attention.
