2022 House & Senate Redistricted Maps

In reviewing the maps submitted by the Bi-Partisan Committee headed by Chairman Mark Nordenberg, I feel that it is a valiant effort by the committee to reflect the changing diversity Pennsylvania’s population has become in the past 20 years. This is particularly true in areas such as Lehigh, Berks, Lancaster, Philadelphia and its suburban counties where Latino and Asian populations have grown over the years and are not fairly represented in the State Legislature. The same claim can be made for females who now represent close to the majority of the population. I believe these maps will allow for this representation in the future. It is time for Pennsylvania to start developing maps that are consistent with our population and not ones drawn up by old, white males who want to continue to control minorities and females and control the decision making in the state.
