Redistricting Senate Maps

Thank you for all of the hard work that the LRC did to prepare maps that are somewhat fairer than the last maps were, that were done ten years ago and that required the intervention of the courts. The process and the allowance of public comment certainly lead to a fairer map-drawing process. I feel that the senate map has multiple failures that require it to be redrawn. It favors republicans, even though republicans might not be the majority in many areas in the state. In addition, many of the edits to the map originally proposed were made behind closed doors and the lines were redrawn to split up some cities and dilute the vote of the people living in those cities; this last comment applies to Lancaster and Allentown among others. Some of the lines for some districts were moved in a nonsensical way to keep incumbents safe (see Senator Browne's proposed new district. Please attend to the obvious favoritism for the Republican party and the incumbents to create a more fair voting map for the next ten years.
