An end to gerrymandering
I found it very interesting that the expert testimony found the maps generally fair (three of them), but the fourth found a slight advantage to the Republicans. Because our state has been one of the worst states in gerrymandering in the country, and all in favor of the Republican Party, I find this testimony to be somewhat disturbing. The goal is for no one party to have any advantage. I know that in the past, I have been extremely frustrated by such gerrymandering, especially for all of the years that I was a registered independent. But any overall improvement is much appreciated by those, such as myself, who have for so long had essentially no voice in state government because of gerrymandering. The maps are a definite improvement.
