Redistricting of the 120th District

I am the Secretary of Pringle Borough, located in Luzerne County, under the 120th District of PA House of Representatives. Aaron Kaufer is our representative. I am writing this to voice the wishes of our Council and Mayor to have Pringle Borough remain under Representative Kaufer’s jurisdiction. Please consider keeping Representative Aaron Kaufer's jurisdiction remain the same. Redistricting of the 120th District of the PA House of Representatives will be detrimental to all our communities working together to better serve the taxpayers of Luzerne County’s West Side. The communities that comprise the 120th District of the PA House of Representatives are actively engaged in a multitude of formal agreements for shared government services. The specific communities are Kingston, Forty Fort, Edwardsville, Wyoming, West Wyoming, Swoyersville, Luzerne, Courtdale, Pringle, Exeter, Exeter Township, West Pittston, Jackson Township, and Kingston Township. These communities must remain in the same district for the continued success of Luzerne County’s West Side Communities. For Pringle Borough, it includes a joint Police Agreement between the Municipality of Kingston and Pringle Borough, in addition to a joint EMS agreement between the Kingston Community Ambulance Association and Pringle Borough. All of the communities that comprise the 120th District of the PA House of Representatives are actively engaged in a very successful West Side Council of Government as well as the West Side Mutual Aid Association for Fire Departments. Our current 120th Representative, Aaron Kaufer, has gone above and beyond in helping all of these communities in achieving success with any project that is going on. Pringle Borough taxpayers receive the very best services for a town with less than 1000 residents. It makes no sense to divide our communities with new representation simply for political purposes. With PA House Representative Aaron Kaufer, it is never about politics. It is about the people in the 120th District. I hope that the Legislative Reappointment Commission will put the people’s interest of the 120th District of the PA House of Representatives before politics. I would like to take this time to thank you for the opportunity to express Pringle Borough's concerns and I'm sure the concerns of all the communities of the 120th District of the PA House of Representatives.
