84th District

To my understanding, one key goal of redistricting is to breakdown districts in the most simplest way possible. The way the preliminary map is drawn ,specifically the 84th district, is unfair. It is unconstitutional. Breaking up the 84th district with the way it is currently drawn would not only be detrimental to the constituents but to school districts that would be split. Rural and urban areas that were once separated and thrived within their respective districts would be meshed in with one another. Isn't another goal of redistricting to keep areas of similar interests together? How would the way the proposed 84th district is currently drawn achieve that? I want to know that my state representative can effectively represent me. The way the 84th is on the preliminary map spreads my representative out so thin that I know myself and other constituents would not have the great representation that we ,residing in the 84th district, currently have. You have drawn a map that has the 84th state representative representing areas as far north as Fox Township in Sullivan County to as far south as Hartley Township in Snyder County. Gerrymandering at it's finest. The preliminary map needs change. The preliminary map needs to be fair especially to the constituents who currently reside in the 84th and appreciate the current and effective representation we have.
